In honor of Valentine’s Day, I just published a gallery of photos from some of the weddings that we have had the honor of hosting at The Morning Star. Unfortunately, I don’t have photos from all of the weddings, but I hope that you enjoy the images that we do have. Since most of our weddings are garden weddings, the gallery includes lots of garden photos.

Daily Prompt: Predictions/Future
During winter months, my flowering houseplants remind me that spring shall soon return and I will once again be out working in my beloved garden.
Orchid buds, showing promise for the future …
Photos are from this morning. Have a lovely day!

Not a Pumpkin
One of my goals for this morning was to photograph some of the pumpkins that I have arranged in the yard so that I could have a nice end-of-October themed shot to share on the blog today. But once I got outside, I succumbed to the temptation of photographing my roses which, by the way, are enjoying the cool weather and occasional rains. (They came through last week’s snow just fine – thankfully!) Here is a picture that I took of Marilyn Monroe, dripping wet on this gray morning after last night’s rains. Enjoy! Have a lovely day!

Weekly Photo Challenge: One Shot, Two Ways … Make it Three
The One Shot, Two Ways photo challenge is an exercise in composition: take a photo of the same subject in landscape format and in portrait format. Here are two photos of Hibiscus Kopper King.
Oops, make it three photos! Just for fun, I decided to crop the top one into a square format.

Last of the Daylilies
Thankfully, I have a few clumps of late season daylilies scattered around the garden, but their days are definitely numbered with only a few buds left to open … a reminder that the garden will soon be making its transition from being a summer garden to an autumn garden.
I think that this variety might be called “Autumn Accent”, but I am not positive about the appellation. Does anyone know “Autumn Accent” well enough to confirm or refute this? Thank you for any help. Have a lovely day!
