A Taste of Morning 
I noticed the first purple coneflower beginning to bloom a few days ago. Their color fills in the gap between the dark greens and bright yellows of summer.

Yes, purple cone flowers are very pretty mixed in with yellows. There is a shrub border between my cornflowers and the middle garden island, but I have bright red and yellow lilies blooming at the same time as the coneflowers … nice and bright. As always, thank you for your comment, Oscar.
