  1. I noticed the first purple coneflower beginning to bloom a few days ago. Their color fills in the gap between the dark greens and bright yellows of summer.

    • Yes, purple cone flowers are very pretty mixed in with yellows. There is a shrub border between my cornflowers and the middle garden island, but I have bright red and yellow lilies blooming at the same time as the coneflowers … nice and bright. As always, thank you for your comment, Oscar.
