We are experiencing unseasonably warm weather here in Manhattan, Kansas for this time of year – fabulous for walking on the Konza Prairie.

We’re going south to OKC today and it’s 80 degrees there! I’m not quite ready!!!

Thank you, Dana. I do miss the wildflowers at this time of year, but the grasses are quite fascinating when they are dried out.
It looks as though there is plenty of walking available on your prairie!
Yes, the prairie is jointing owned by The Nature Conservancy and Kansas State University. The Biology Department uses a good deal of it for research, but there are several very attractive waking trails available to the public.
